Dallas has various non-profit and government organizations that offer assistance to those in need, especially during the holiday season. DCH would like to shine a light on resources for those who are looking for support in our community, if you or someone in your network is in need this holiday season, we hope these organizations can help. Here are some resources that cover a range of needs, including toy drives, food assistance, and more in Dallas.

Website: North Texas Food Bank
Services: Provides access to nutritious food for those facing hunger in North Texas.
Holiday Events: North Texas Food Bank partners with various organizations over the holidays to provide food to those facing hunger. See their calendar for partnerships near you.
Website: Salvation Army Dallas
Services: Offers various programs, including food assistance, shelter, and holiday assistance.
Holiday Events: The Salvation Army collects and distributes toys through a program called Angel Tree. Learn more on their website about adopting a tree or becoming a recipient.
Services: Provides a variety of services, including food, rent and utility assistance, and a holiday program.
Holiday Events: Metrocrest Services offers support for children and seniors this holiday season with a holiday toy drive program.

Services: Provides investigation, intervention, and treatment services to children and their families affected by abuse.
Holliday Events: Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center offers a toy drive annually for those in need in their system or who are recovering from abuse.

Services: Distributes toys to children in need during the holiday season.
Holiday Events: Toys for Tots has an annual toy drive that is very easy to fill out and receive assistance for. See the link above.
Services: Addresses poverty through various programs including food distribution, healthcare, and workforce development.
Holiday Events: CitySquare does not have an events program, but offers relief for those in need of housing and food.
